2024-25 SP Hockey is one of the more accessible products of the season. Aimed mainly at retail, the checklist is simple and doesn’t have much in the way of frills and gimmicks. Yes, there are inserts and chase elements but the checklist is refreshingly small compared to virtually every other modern release. The trade off? Hits are scarce if that’s your thing, and definitely not in every blaster.

2024-25 SP Hockey Checklist Overview

The base set has just 140 cards. The first 100 are veteran stars. The remaining 40 are part of the SP Rookie Authentics subset and come numbered to 1,199. All cards have Blue parallels, which average out to one per pack. Rookies have additional Patterned Foilboard (1:50 packs), Gold Patterned Foilboard (1:200 packs), Red (/99), Green (/25) and Black (1/1) versions. Some of the rookies also have Jersey (1:40 packs), Signatures (1:480 packs) and Signatures Gold (/25) spins. Authentic Profiles (/550) are the only other standard inserts on the checklist. These provide additional cards of top stars. Parallels are similar to the rookies with Blue (1:5 packs), Patterned Foilboard (1:200 packs), Gold Patterned Foilboard (1:800 packs), Red (/49), Green (/10) and Black (1/1). Tough Jersey (1:640 packs) and Signatures (1:2,880 packs) versions round things out. More autographs are available in Authentic Signatures. That said, at 1:1,600 packs, they’re not easy.
