2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey is one of the sport’s cornerstone annual releases. Bolstered by more than two decades of history, the checklist is highlighted by Future Watch, one of the top Rookie Card subsets in the entire hobby. Autographs are another benchmark with two landing in every hobby box. Collectors will also find lots of inserts and parallels as well.

2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey Checklist Overview

SPA kicks off with a 200-card base, split evenly between veterans and rookies. For the established stars, there are three basic levels of parallels that fall under the Limited banner:

Red – 1:2 packs
Gold – /99
Black – 1/1

Select cards also have Limited Autographs that combine to land 1:60 packs and Limited Auto Materials that have no more than 100 copies each. Rookies are all part of the Future Watch subset with base versions coming numbered to 999. Most, but not all, are autographed. In fact, Future Watch Autographs are one of the two signatures in every hobby box. Rookies have their own lineup of Limited parallels, although these are not autographs:

Red – 1:2 packs
Blue – /399
Green – /199
Gold – /99
Black – 1/1

Further Future Watch autograph variations include Horizontal, Auto Patch (/100) and Horizontal Auto Patch (/100 or less).

Additional Autographs and Inserts

A big part of SP Authentic’s appeal is its tradition. This comes through in some of its other autograph sets, which have a deep history. Leading the way is Sign of the Times. Single-signed cards are 1:32 packs. But there are also cards with two (/25), three (/15), four (/10), six (/6) and even eight (/5) players. Sign of the Times Rookies are tough at 1:864 packs. Marks of Distinction (/25), Chirography (1:160 packs) and UD Authentics Autographs (1:60 packs) also return. UD Authentics also has autographed patch cards numbered to 49 and under. More signatures are available in Curated Signatures, Signature Handles (1:10 packs), and Telemetry Autographs (1:120 packs). Average everything out and every pack of 2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey should have a standard insert. Pageantry is among the most common of these at 1:3 packs. While these don’t have basic parallels, some cards do have autographs (1:60 packs). Freshman Focus is also 1:3 packs. These, along with Collaborations (1:5 packs) and Maximum Performance (1:5 packs), have Blue and Green parallels. Other inserts include Future Icons (/399), Holofoils (1:160 packs) and Legends Holofoil (1:160 packs).

2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey Bounty Program

One final insert set on the 2024-25 SP Authentic Hockey checklist is Spectrum FX. These double as UD Bounty cards that offer rewards for those who undertake and complete the challenge of building the complete set. In packs, there are 91 different Spectrum FX cards. They break down into multiple tiers of rarity: Veterans – 1:10 packs, Future Watch Level 1 – 1:20 packs, Level 2 – 1:42 packs, Level 3 – 1:160 packs. All who finish the set and register is through the UD Bounty website get nine cards not found in packs to bring it to a 100-card set. The first 50 people to do so also receive a full Spectrum FX Gold parallel set (/50) plus a special bonus.
