Product Details

2023-24 SkyBox E-X 2000 Hockey has its head in the clouds. The throwback-style set from Upper Deck draws much of its inspiration from the early days of E-X — more specifically 1996-97 E-X 2000 Basketball. Similar to recent Metal Universe sets, inserts carry bigs designs like those of the late 1990s. It’s also a product where autographs are on the checklist but they’re not guaranteed.

2023-24 SkyBox E-X 2000 Hockey Checklist

The full base set has 150 cards. This includes 50 rookies that are every other pack. Despite this, overall quantities of all vets and first-year players are roughly the same. Design-wise, Upper Deck is going with the cloudy backdrop the original set is known for. Parallels include:

All-Access Credentials (1:108 packs, Rookies – 1:216 packs)
Credentials – /499
Blue Credentials – /299
Essential Credentials – /99
Gold Essential Credentials – /50
All-Access Gold Credentials – /10
Printing Plates – 1/1
VIP Credentials – 1/1

Autographs and Inserts

Although not in every box, autographs do combine to land approximately four per case. That’s about every third hobby box. One place to find them is Autographics, a name synonymous with both SkyBox and early autographs as a whole. Rookies are 1:140 packs while veterans are 1:280. Seven other insert sets are on the 2023-24 SkyBox E-X 2000 Hockey checklist. Like the inspiration release from nearly 30 years prior, rarity varies. Star Date 3000 is the easiest to pull at 1:6 hobby packs. Parallels include Speckle (/99), Gold Speckle (/25) and Printing Plates (1/1). Some cards also get the autograph treatment (1:576 packs) as well as Gold Speckle Autographs (1/1). Index Movers are slightly tougher pulls at 1:7.5 packs. These have the same assortment of parallels, including select autographs. Somewhat tougher but still not scarce are Net Assets (1:27 packs), Hall or Nothing (1:30 packs) and Reverberation (1:40 packs). For those hunting for scarce inserts, there are E-Xceptional (1:576 packs) and Double Helix (1:288 packs). Double Helix has Gold parallels that are 10 times as tough at 1:2,880 packs.
