Just like last year, 2021-22 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey closes out the flagship trilogy for NHL collectors. That means new Youngs Guns along with a whole slew of inserts. The set follows 2021-22 Upper Deck Series 1 and Series 2 Hockey. Per UD, “Rookie content is based off of players who have qualified for rookie card status as of 1/4/22.”

Although the product is heavily skewed to inserts from other UD brands (and years), 2021-22 Upper Deck Extended Series Hockey still offers the final assortment of flagship base cards. This includes 50 additional cards in the Young Guns rookie lineup. That should bring the overall total to 150 YG cards for the year.
