2021-22/2022-23 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey is a two-fer for autograph collectors. Despite being packaged as a single product, it combines two years worth of content. Whether it’s 2021-22 or 2022-23 cards, signatures and acetate are the focal point with much of the checklist drawing from other Upper Deck products. Typical hobby boxes come with one autograph card making for quick breaks.

For both years, Base Autographs draw from the corresponding flagship releases. Like the rest of the release, signatures are on-card. Also emerging from Upper Deck Hockey are Canvas Signatures and Canvas Rookie Debut Signatures. Rookie Debut also has unsigned versions, the only cards in Clear Cut without autographs, that are included as a bonus card in boxes that contain a redemption. Tribute Autographs and Rookie Tribute Autographs jump back in time and recreate cards from the past, this time with the acetate twist. Other past brands and designs include SPx, Ionix, Upper Deck Legends and Champs. It’s not all existing designs and retro content, though. Pride of Canada and Pride of USA spotlight star players from both sides of the border. Stoppers, and Black and Amber are other spots on the checklist with original layouts.
