2020 Topps Tribute Baseball helps collectors welcome the new year on the diamond with the initial high-end MLB set on the 2020 Topps Baseball release calendar. Collectors may recall that the 2019 product was also expected to be an early-season release but was ultimately delayed by multiple months. Each Hobby box contains three autographs and three relics, with one hit falling per pack.

UPDATE: There are also unannounced buybacks in the form of Tribute to the T-206 Series cards. These are T206 originals that are stamped one-of-one on the outer frame that appears to be similar to what Allen & Ginter uses.

2020 Topps Tribute Baseball Base / Inserts

2020 Topps Tribute Baseball features a base set and lineup of 2020 rookies. These RCs average just two per case. Collectors can also find Green (#/99), Purple (#/50), Red (#/10) and Black (1/1) parallels for the base players and rookies.

2020 Topps Tribute Baseball Autographs / Auto Relics

Looking to the past, present and future, the 2020 Topps Tribute Baseball checklist offers multiple signed inserts, including on-card options. The Tribute Autographs line is the main choice. Base versions are serial numbered and there are multiple parallels, as well.

Limited to 99 or less, Franchise Best Autographs is a new case hit. The Iconic Perspectives Autographs and League Inauguration Autographs cards are also capped at 99 copies. These all add Orange (#/25), Red (#/10) and Black (1/1) editions. Case-hit Tribute to Great Hitters Autographs cards are numbered to 99 or less. This new set has the same parallels noted above plus Purple (#/50). Collectors can also track down on-card Autograph Patches (#/50) and the dual-panel Tribute Tandems Book Card Autographs (#/25) for two similar players. Both sets feature Red (#/10) and Black (1/1) parallels. Rare Autograph Prime Patch cards boast game-used memorabilia with MLB Authentication. In addition, the hard-signed Tribute Career Achievement Award Autograph Continuity (1/1) insert debuts for Mike Trout.

2020 Topps Tribute Baseball Relics

The other side of the hit total comes via memorabilia inserts. 2020 Topps Tribute Baseball works with three expected relics per box. This includes Dual Relics (#/150) with game-used relics for single-player and dual-player editions. There is also game-used Tribute Triple Relics (#/150) and MLB-authenticated Stamp of Approval Relics (#/150). Every Hobby box has one of each relic type noted above. The relic sets have Green (#/99), Purple (#/50), Orange (#/25), Red (#/10) and Black (1/1) parallels, as well. Celebrating top moments, Milestone Relics (#/10) showcases a piece of a ball from a notable game. These add a one-of-one Black Jumbo Autograph edition.
