Product Details

The clock turns back to 1971 for a second time with 2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball. The update product builds upon the main 2020 Topps Heritage Baseball release from February. As always, the Hobby boxes offer one autograph or relic card.

2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball Base / Variations

Adding the final 225 cards and filling in spots #501 to #725, the 2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball checklist features 200 base cards filled with rookie call-ups and traded players. The primary set, which still celebrates the black-framed 1971 design, also includes 25 short prints. In addition to the Hobby-only White Border (initially revealed as 50 copies) and Flip Stock (initially revealed as 5 copies) parallels, the Chrome line highlights 50 of the base subjects with extra shine. Be on the lookout for Hot Box Refractors in Hobby and Retail Value Box (aka Blaster) formats, plus Hobby-only Gold Refractors.

The Mini editions, numbered to 100, are back, as well. Moving to the short-printed variations that the brand loves, options consist of Action Image Variations and Silver Team Name Variations cards, which are exclusive to Hobby, plus Missing Signature Variations and Throwback Uniform Variations. Topps also mentioned “additional surprises.”

2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball Inserts

The tried-and-true insert lineup supplies fresh batches of Award Winners: for the 2019 recipients: dual-player Combo Cards and Now and Then, which compares 2020 to 1971. In addition, there are Rookie Performers cards for 15 players. 2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball also serves up new inserts like 1971 World Series Highlights, revisiting the Pirates vs. Orioles matchup, and Let’s Play 2(528), in honor of Ernie Banks.

2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball Autographs

Autographed cards include hard-signed Real One Autographs and the low-numbered Special Edition Red Ink (#/71) versions. Also numbered to 71 copies are the new 1971 World Series Champion Autographs for various members of the title-winning Pittsburgh Pirates squad.

2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball Relics / Auto Relics

Any memorabilia card fans out there? 2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball stays with the normal Clubhouse Collection Relics line. This means Clubhouse Collection Relics with Gold (#/99) versions, plus hand-numbered Clubhouse Collection Dual Relics (#/71), Clubhouse Collection Triple Relics (#/25), and Clubhouse Collection Quad Relics (#/10). These also work in Hobby-only Patch parallels that are all one-of-one cards. Adding an on-card signature, Clubhouse Collection Autograph Relic (#/25 or less) and Hobby-only Clubhouse Collection Dual Autograph Relics (#/10 or less) provide more hits to chase. These, too, are hand-numbered and come as one-of-one Patch parallels only found in Hobby packs. The hit lineup wraps up with the one-of-one Cut Signatures for baseball players and celebrities during 1971.

2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball Box Toppers

Finally, those buying Hobby boxes of 2020 Topps Heritage High Number Baseball can look forward to exclusive box loaders. Options consist of 1971 Topps Super Baseball, which has a hard-signed edition (#/25 or less), 1971 Topps Greatest Moments and foil-stamped 1971 Topps Originals buybacks.
