The parallel-heavy 2020-21 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey offers an average of three hits per box, including possible autographs, relics and Aurum Bounty cards. The NHL brand also supplies collectors with rookie IOUs via the line of mystery redemption cards that fall one per box.

2020-21 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey Base / Parallels

The bulk of 2020-21 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey is based around the main 220-card set. This includes 100 regular cards as well as limited Stars (#/699), Legends (#/599) and Rookies (#/999) subsets. Each card adds Copper (#/299), Emerald (#/99), Autumn (#/75), Aqua (#/45) and Purple (#/20) parallels. The Black (#/5) edition is exclusive to Hobby. In addition, the subsets have Ruby (#/399) versions, but this was not noted for the regular set. And if you know Artifacts, you know that is just the start. From there, each group is treated to a mix of relics, autographs and auto relics.

Falling one per box, the Rookie Redemptions set has a TBD lineup that is revealed later in the season. The base Rookie Redemption cards average 1:9 packs. Much tougher to locate, the SP Photo Variant (1-6) cards feature different player images and odds of 1:640 packs. Other than the base and SP redemptions, all other Rookie Redemption cards in 2020-21 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey are exclusive to Hobby boxes. This includes Emerald versions for the base (1:78 packs) and SP photo variant (1:2,059 packs) subjects. Premium versions include rookie autographs, relics and auto relics at varying odds. In particular, the top six prospects (I-VI) are highlighted across all the choices.

Upper Deck also continues to push the UD Bounty program in 2020-21 Upper Deck Artifacts Hockey. This Hobby-only promotion rewards set collectors who build the Gold Light F/X Aurum insert line, which counts as a box hit and averages 10 cards per case. The 48-card set consists of Base Aurum (1:21), Aurum SP Holdover Rookies (Tier 1 – 1:144; Tier 2 – 1:320), Aurum SP Veteran All-Stars (1:480), and Aurum SP Legends (1:640). There are also Aurum Signatures (#/13) and Aurum Signatures Duals (#/3) to be found in packs. Anyone who completes the full insert (48 cards) is eligible for the two exclusive Retro Rookie Bounty Achievement cards. If you are among the first 25 collectors to finish the entire set and redeem it at the UD Bounty website, the following prizes are available.

Admirable Impressions (#/24) showcases current players and Esteemed Endorsements (#/28) works with current stars and former greats.
