Following a fairly popular debut with the 2019-20 release, 2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey continues the young NHL card brand for a new season. Although the overall approach is similar, there are some changes from last year. Instead of offering one autograph and at least one relic, each Hobby box now contains one autograph along with two cards that can be either rare parallels and/or relics. Also, the pack size increases from six to eight cards.

2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey Base / Parallels

Collectors can find 150 cards in the base set, including 70 veterans, 30 rookies and 50 short print (SP) rookies. The rookie SP cards average one per pack. The colorful parallel selection is also prominent, with at least one expected per pack.

2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey Inserts

Many of the new options come into play with the 2020-21 Upper Deck Allure Hockey inserts. The XRC Redemption cards (1:640 packs) give fans a headstart on five key names from the incoming rookie class. Identifying top rookie prospects, the Grand Entrance (1:4 packs) debut set adds limited Blue (#/99) parallels. Also new, City Celly (1:11 packs) pairs player celebrations with notable skylines, while Diagnostics (1:11 packs) makes its first appearance. Plus, Iced Out (1:8 packs) is back from ’19-20.
