2023-24 Upper Deck Allure Hockey aims to take collectors down a rainbow road once again. The chrome-forward release embraces color throughout its checklist, from the base set through the many inserts. This includes several returning themes as well as some new ones. Among the box hits is either an autograph or rare 16-Bit or Doubloons insert.

2023-24 Upper Deck Allure Hockey Checklist Overview

The base set has 150 cards — 100 veterans and 50 rookies, which land one per pack. This is also the big part of the rainbow, with each card getting a big helping of parallels:

Inserts

Over the past couple of years, Color Flow has become a cornerstone insert in Allure Hockey. Players have five cards that when put together for a full rainbow spectrum:

Red-Orange – 1:3 packs
Orange-Yellow – 1:5 packs
Yellow-Green – 1:9 packs
Green-Blue – 1:13 packs
Blue-Purple – 1:25 packs
At the end of this is a Golden Treasures one-of-one version.

Select rookies also have Full Rainbow Autographs that land 1:32 hobby packs as well as Golden Treasures Autographs (1/1). New this year are Color Flow Stanley Cup cards showcasing hockey’s top prize. These are limited to just three main versions, albeit with tough odds: Red-Orange (1:200 packs), Yellow-Green (1:267 packs) and Blue-Purple (1:800 packs). Their respective Spectrum parallels are numbered to 99, 50 and 10. A Full Rainbow Autograph for this is 1:2,160 hobby packs. Retro gaming gets a nod on the 2023-24 Upper Deck Allure Hockey checklist with a new batch of 16 Bit inserts. These reimagine current players and rookies with pixel art found in games like NHL 95. With 1:576 hobby pack odds, they’re among the toughest cards in the product. Taking a similar approach with rarity is Doubloons. The look is very different, though, casting past, present and future stars against a golden background. Doubloons fall 1:108 hobby packs. Other Allure inserts include Polished Pros (1:6 packs), Iced Breakaway (1:7 packs), Lumber Masters (1:8 packs) and Golden Goalies (1:11 packs). All four of these have Orange (/399), Green (/249), Red (/99), Purple (/10) and Golden Treasures (1/1) parallels. Select cards also get the autograph treatment.
